Build your Nation, Not your Ego

Is our present Indian Government going to address governance at any point or are we going to keep oscillating between food menu and religion for the full term?

Why is loose talk by people in responsible positions across the board not being checked? What are the real issues we are being diverted from? Nation has major economic, governance, development challenges but public discourse continues to be about irrelevant issues, for months now. Why?

Issues that should exist at best in the private or social domain are now being obsessed in political, Government domain. Is this responsible? Leaders, Media, citizens and even some of our best minds are spending our resources addressing what we eat, who we pray to and how we party?

Political, social, art and media leaders are becoming slaves to their egos and rest of us are fueling or pricking it. Will that develop our nation?

We must ask ourselves - do we want to be a progressive developed nation or a bunch of bickeri…

The Revolution is Dead

Lines are blurring between journalists, artists and spin doctors. Oh well what is the difference now anyway...used to be, not anymore.

There was a time when for journalists and artists, there was only one master - the public. Now they serve masters who claim to be servants. There was a time when journalism and art was about fighting fear. Today it is about propagating it, branding it, selling it & defending it.

Journalists, artists were outsiders breaking down walls for humans to stay free. Today we are the wall that contains minds from being free. Today, there are no outsiders. Only siders. We rush in like fools and side with puppeteers of our choice, ready to be played like a violin.

Revolution is dead. They never played our song. There are no rebels, no followers. Only masters and servants, feeding on corpses of us and them.

Innovate, Converge, Govern.

Land Acquisition, development, growth, economy and ecology can all live in harmony if the Governments can focus seriously on out of the box reforms and innovation in Governance.

For example, I feel if the Indian Government was to acquire non active farm land to create smart nature conservation parks managed by private public partnerships, it would boost tourism, economy, ecology, psychographics across the board and probably meet with lesser resistance from all concerned. Ofcourse, pay the farmers good market rate and give them a small share in future revenues from such nature park projects.

Space for businesses and even factories can be provided in cities and small towns by going full blown vertical everywhere (mostly untapped so far) with new innovative adapted technology, renewable energy for operations and waste management. Offer them tax sops for adopting those.

India has a huge availability of natural resources like rains, Sun, wind and most of it is going to waste. Most of ou…
